At sixty years of age, our father Shahzad Kazmi is in the prime of his life. After decades of being a host at multiple reputable restaurants and hotels, while at home cooking the most wonderful dishes, we helped to make his biggest dream come true: to open his restaurant, together with his kids. Hills & Mills became a crowded little gem where Papa’s guest fall under the spell of his modern, Indian cuisine. Papa is the well known chef of Hills & Mills. The pure food cafe that he set up together with his kids was praised by dozens of different media as the Delft hotspot.

Exotische, modern recipes
Besides traditional spices like cardamom, ginger and turmeric, Papa also uses innovative ingredients like agave nectar, rice flour and coconut oil.

In the book we’ll take you through our father’s life. Stories about parties, picnics and traveling, but also about ‘normal’ weekdays.

More than 75% of the recipes are suitable for vegans. Recipes that call for meat or fish can be made vegan as well.
